What to Expect
Each participant will design and build their own custom terrarium using our carefully curated materials: glass containers, a selection of mosses, plants, soils, and decorative elements. We provide all the tools and guidance you need, making the process simple and enjoyable for beginners and experienced plant lovers alike.

Pricing
- Per Person: Variable depending on glass selection. You can expect it to be from $50-100 per person based on selections. I can work within your budget 🙂 (includes all materials and instruction)
- Event Fee: $50 flat fee (covers travel, setup, and teardown)
- Travel Fee: Free in Olympia and within 20 miles, $0.60/mile after that.
A deposit of 50% is required to secure your date.

Prepare to Get Your Hands a Little Dirty
Building terrariums is a tactile, hands-on activity—expect to get a little messy! Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting soil on. We provide gloves, but some guests prefer working bare-handed to better connect with the living materials.

Do I need any prior experience to join a terrarium party?
Nope! Terrarium parties are designed for all skill levels—from total beginners to green-thumb pros. We guide you through every step.
How many people can participate in one party?
Typically, parties accommodate 6 to 12 participants, but we can adjust depending on space and request.
What should the host provide for the party?
The host needs to provide a clean, well-lit space with tables and seating for all guests. We bring all the materials and expertise! The vibes are customizable to the host as well. Music is an integral part to my personal terrarium creation, so I recommend the host spends some time considering music if they are so inclined. Lofi is often a great choice as it is a soothing background sound that doesn’t interfere with conversation, but don’t limit yourself to that genre!
Are terrarium parties suitable for children?
Our workshops are best suited for teens and adults due to the nature of the materials and tools involved. I fully recognize that all children are different, so if you feel your child would be able to complete a terrarium in a classroom environment and doesn’t stick to that age range, feel free to reach out. I am flexible, but I want to be open about the experience because I would rather be explicit than implicit to avoid a miscommunication.
How long does a typical party last?
Expect anywhere from 1-3 hours, including instruction and creation time. It depends on the group. For myself, many terrarium builds take me anywhere of 5 minutes to an hour, while others will take me weeks on end while I futz with some idealized “perfection”. (As it is a wizard’s custom, I might add, to do so)
Can the party be customized for special occasions?
Absolutely! We can tailor themes, plant choices, and design elements to fit birthdays, corporate events, or any celebration.
Is the party environment neurodivergent friendly?
Yes! We prioritize a calm, supportive atmosphere and welcome participants of all neurotypes. Quiet, focused activities are ideal for introverts and those seeking a peaceful creative outlet.
What happens if I want to cancel or reschedule?
We understand plans change. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling or cancellation policies.
Can I purchase additional terrarium supplies or kits after the party?
Definitely! We offer a range of kits and supplies that party participants can buy to continue their terrarium journey at home.
Do you provide food or drinks?
As I have at least a decade in the food industry as a fresh faced youth, I only feel comfortable providing sealed beverages at as small additional cost as I can make it. As we all will be working with dirt, I do not feel comfortable preparing food and then serving you that food. If anyone knows a chef or wants to hire a chef to partner for a terrarium build and then tasting menu, please hit me up. The food nerd in me would love to do something like this.
Can we drink/smoke at parties?
Heck yes, if this is something you are interested I’m happy to help plan. It is BYO as I am not licensed to provide either. Mention this in your email. It would make a great April 20th party, just saying. I spoke to many people about sip and build classes at breweries and I’ve gotten an overwhelming response from people who are not drinking, which I super respect! I hear you guys, I’m working on something 🙂
